While religion provides a set of guidelines for its followers, spirituality allows individuals to explore and develop their own beliefs and practices. One can be religious and spiritual, or spiritual but not religious. For example, someone may attend church and adhere to the teachings of their religion while also exploring their own spirituality through meditation or personal reflection. Alternatively, someone may not follow any religious tradition but still seek out their own spiritual meaning through practices like yoga or nature walks. Ultimately, the difference between being spiritual and religious is a matter of personal preference and the individual’s journey toward meaning and purpose in their life.
No matter which path you take, you are exactly where you’re meant to be in your spiritual journey. Your thoughts, actions, and how you allocate your spiritual time have brought you to this point and nowhere else. You have an eternity to grow and ascend to greater understanding, so enjoy the ride.
